

Larry was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Martha, daughter Lorelei, her husband Matt and grandchildren Lucy, Jack, and Bennett, and son Kris and his late wife Monika.
Larry was born in Chilliwack on November 11, 1951 in a loving Christian home to Neil and Kay Wiebe; he was the oldest of 3 brothers. At a young age Larry was enamoured with trucks, learning to drive at 13 years old. By the time he was 15, he would tag along and assist other drivers as much as he could. Once even narrowly avoiding being stuck in the Hope Slide. Larry then went on to run his family’s successful trucking company, Vedder Transport.
Larry was a cowboy at heart. He loved working the land and riding horses with his family and friends. He would spend a lot of time over the years working on his ranch in Cache Creek. He loved to golf and go on vacations with his family. It didn’t matter where it was as long as he could be with them. Larry and Martha loved to travel the world together, exploring new places and enjoying the cultural cuisine. Being active was important to him. He enjoyed biking, walking, and hiking.
One of his favourite places to be was Summerland. Larry and Martha would spend every summer there. It was such a special place where he could relax and enjoy time with his family. He loved the sun and heat, spending the cold winters in Scottsdale and Palm Desert.
Larry enjoyed connecting and meeting new people and helping those in need. He was humble, generous, and compassionate. Seeing his family and loved ones thrive was always at the forefront of his mind and a duty he took very seriously.
Larry loved Jesus and it was evident in the way he lived his life. He shared Christ’s love through his actions and through his time. It was never a burden but a joy to love and help others in so many different ways. Through family, friends, and business Larry leaves a legacy that will last for generations.
