

Lloyd A. Clark Lloyd A. Clark, 85 years old, S Surrey, BC, passed away at home on Dec. 30, 2017. Lloyd was born near N. Battleford, SK, on Mar. 17, 1932 to Clyde W & Gertrude (Stoughton) Clark. Lloyd obtained a Bachelor of Geo. Eng. at U of S., and after his Masters' he met the love of his life, Isabelle Forcier, on a blind date. They were married on September 17, 1955 in Saskatoon. The newlyweds moved to Montreal, where Lloyd pursued a PhD in Geology, and taught at McGill for 10 years.
In 1970, the family of four children moved to Salt Lake City, where Lloyd worked for Kennecott as Senior Research Geologist. Skiing was enjoyed by the whole family. In 1976, Lloyd went to work in management for SMDC in Regina, and later, Saskatoon. In 1990 when he retired, the couple moved to Surrey, BC. After 5 years, Lloyd and Isabelle moved to their acreage in Langley, to garden to their hearts content! The couple retired to S Surrey.
Lloyd is remembered for his great diplomacy and kindness as a husband, parent to Susan Clark (David Hughes), Leslie Hussmann (Hans), Lyle Clark (Fred Heerema), J. Dave Clark (Laurel), and grandparent to Ilyes Daoudi, Danielle and Alex Clark, & Pearl Hughes. Lloyd was a passionate geologist and did countless miles of exploration on foot throughout northern Canada and the world. He volunteered with the McGill Alumni, the Fraser Valley Dahlia Soc., Surrey Crime Prevention and several geo. eng. societies. Lloyd and Isabelle volunteered for the Heart & Stroke Fdn. Lloyd was an avid gardener; his pride & joy were the gorgeous dahlias he cultivated and exhibited.
He is survived by his wife Isabelle (Forcier) Clark, and all his children & grandchildren.
