Lorraine is survived by her children, Brian (Barb) McWilliams, Michael McWilliams, and Sharon (Perry) Pullen; siblings, Bill (Joan) Clayton, Bob Clayton, and Joan Kercher, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband Don, and grandson Scott.
Lorraine was born on April 1, 1931, in Kimberley, BC to Robert & Gladys Clayton. At 13, Lorraine moved to Creston, BC with her family where she graduated high school and, at age 18, Lorraine moved to Vancouver, where she trained, graduated & began her career as an RN at Vancouver General Hospital. On August 26, 1955, Lorraine married her soulmate, Don McWilliams. After raising three children Lorraine started a career with BC Tel as an occupational nurse until retirement.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 27th, 2024 at George Preston Recreation center in Langley at 1:00 pm. Pastor Layton will officiate the ceremony; all are welcome to attend and celebrate Lorraine’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Vancouver General Hospital burn Unit.
