Margaret Rose Procyk

Margaret Rose (née Hill), passed away peacefully at the Melville Hospice Home in South Surrey, BC on September 4th, 2020, following a brief battle with cancer. Margaret was a devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to the care of others. Margaret moved away from her hometown of Trail after high school, to pursue a career in nursing. She was most proud to have graduated as an RN with Class 1969B of the Royal Columbian Hospital School of Nursing. After her time at RCH, Margaret served at St. Mary’s and Langley Memorial Hospitals before taking a pause from nursing in the 1980s and 1990s to work with children – as a piano teacher and owner of Memory Lane Preschool in Langley. Margaret would later resume her nursing career in Abbotsford until her retirement in 2011. Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband John but is survived by her two children and four grandchildren who have been so fortunate to have a mother and grandmother like her.

A family-only dedication will be held at the Gardens of Gethsemani on October 9th. Following Margaret’s interment, an online memorial will be posted on dignitymemorial.com and available to all those who knew and loved Margaret (Margie) Rose Procyk. Her warm smile will be missed always.
