

Maureen (Jackie) Alva DRYDEN, age 67, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, at home after a year long battle with brain cancer.
Jackie was born February 25, 1954 to John and Olga Monkman in New Westminster, BC.
She is survived by her children Carrie, Patsy and Richard. She was the proud grandmother to her four beautiful grandchildren Cassy, Jayden Willian and Addison. Her two other "granddaughters" Alyssa and Madison who she loved as her own. As well as many nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved dog Cookie.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents John and Olga Monkman, sisters Beverly, Eileen, Patsy and Brother Stan.
Jackie was raised in Burnaby and Ladner, BC but spent most of her adult years in Cloverdale raising her children. She was a proud member of the community and spent a lot of her free time volunteering for the Cloverdale BIA, Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair and Country Music Association.
Before having to take early retirement due to her declining health, she was employed as a community support worker at Semiahmoo House Society. She loved her work and was very passionate about it. She will be loved and missed by many.
Viewing will take place Thursday, Nov 18, 2021 from 4 to 5pm at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley.
A small grave side service will be held Monday, Nov 29, 2021 at 1 pm. at Surrey Centre Cemetery 16671 Old McLellan Road, Cloverdale, BC.
There will be no reception held after but for those who choose to are welcome to join us at the Clydesdale Inn on #10 Highway for a drink as it was one of her favourite places to go years ago
