Michael is survived by his parents, Mary and Ron Morley(Step-Father)and his nephew Raymond Adams. Mike was a loving, thoughtful and caring Son. He lit up a room wherever he went.
Michael was born on June 11, 1964 in Victoria, BC to Mary (Carpenter) and Burke Grevatt. He graduated from Sparwood Secondary in 1982. It took him a while to find his niche. Then Mike began working for Greenstar plant products their warehouse. When Greenstar was sold he moved over to Eddi’s Wholesale Garden Supply as a forklift driver and as an impressive order picker. He had over 20 years history between these two companies. Mike was a hard worker and lived for his work. He made great friends with the other employees and created a family away from home.
Music was very important to Mike. His love of music (60/70’s Rock) was a big part in helping Mike teach himself to play the drums. He practiced for hours, drumming along to the LP’s of his favorite bands. He and his friends even put together a band. As time passed, and he couldn’t keep a drum set in his small suite, in our house, he picked up the bass guitar and taught himself to play it. We were often serenaded by the music (mostly the bass) wafting up from the basement. He also loved his football. Both CFL/BC Lions and NFL Seattle Sea Hawks Leagues. He also loved golfing and tennis. Mike was a sun worshiper. His favorite summer pastime was swimming in the local pool on hot days.
A Celebration of life is scheduled for 11:00a.m., Wednesday, October, 16, 2024 in the “Sunrise Room” at Five Star Catering, 5640 188th Street Surrey, (the corner of 188h and # 10 Highway) with a reception to follow.
