Murel "Mel" Steven Fawcett

Mel passed away peacefully at the Abbotsford Hospice on February 18, 2025. He is survived by his loving partner Audrey and his children Steve (Zoe), Mike (Leah), and Suzanne, six wonderful grandchildren, and sister, Christine (Fred).

Mel retired from his work as a Lineman with BC Hydro and after retirement enjoyed winters in Mesa Arizona for many years. Down there he enjoyed playing golf, stained glass projects, and woodworking.

He then met Audrey in Langley B.C. at a meetup group and on the night they met danced the night away. They shared 8 lovely years together.

They enjoyed life with their little dog, Bliss, taking trips to Alberta to visit family and friends, fishing on the lakes in the cariboo, taking day trips cruising, holiday dinners with family, and, of course, their dancing.

Mel did not want a service but to be remembered by his teasing and joking ways.
