It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of Raymond Wolfe on April 25, 2015 at the age of 71. He will be forever remembered by his family, his wife of 48 years Dorothy, his son Clayton, his daughter in law Tammy and his much treasured granddaughter Macy. He will also be missed by a large extended family, and many friends.
Ray was born in Sudbury Ontario on August 7th 1943, the second son of Felix and Alma Wolfe. He served with the RCMP for 26 years. His postings were all in BC and included Agassiz, Chilliwack, Kelowna, Victoria, Langley, Vancouver and Surrey. He also worked for the City of Surrey, in the RCMP office for another 9 years.
In 1999 he retired and enjoyed 16 wonderful years. He and Dorothy were Snowbirds and spent their winters in Greenfield Village in Mesa Arizona. They enjoyed road trips across Canada and the US, trips to Mexico and Europe, as well as a cruise through the Panama Canal. While at home Ray liked to lawn bowl and putter in his garden, as well as read.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on May 6th at 11:30 am at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway in Langley.
As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canucks Place.
