Susan Macleod

Susan MacLeod (nee Longshore), age 85, of Langley, BC passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2022. She is survived by her two daughters, Kate Wetherell and Jenny McIntosh, five grandchildren Iain McIntosh (Fox Marie Froebe), Connor Davis (Jolene Geernaert), Anna McIntosh (Evan Braley), Cameron McIntosh (Tayler Roper), Christian Wetherell (Alley Lanigan), one great-granddaughter Elizabeth McIntosh Anderson, a beloved dog Kai, three grand-dogs Archer, Stella and Frankie, and one grand-cat Steve. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Donald Gordon (Bud) MacLeod, parents Willard and Norma Longshore, and twin brother Stephen. Her sister, Nancy, lives in Calgary, Alberta.

Susan enjoyed many things, but most of all the abundant nature in her adopted country of Canada, most recently on the Sunshine Coast in B.C., surrounded by her books and her dog. She knew the origin of every plant and tree in the area.

Susan was born in Culver City, CA, USA and emigrated to Canada in 1947. She attended Central Memorial High School in Calgary, Alberta. Her proudest accomplishments were becoming a Daughter of the American Revolution, and later, a Canadian citizen.
