Allen Adolph Elliott Sr.

Delhi Township, Michigan

Age 61; passed away September 6, 2010; born December 14, 1948 in Cheboygan, Michigan to Adolph and Jacqueline Elliott. Allen was a Team Coordinator at General Motors. He loved U of M Football, enjoyed driving his 1965 Oldsmobile F85 and fishing. Allen loved spending time with his family. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Elliott. He is survived by his wife Julie of 39 years; daughters, Shannon (Andrew) Hammerle, Bridget (Thomas) Norris and Jamie (Jason) Buckner; son, Allen (Alyson) Elliott, Jr.; grandchildren, Brantley Buckner, Lucas Buckner, Tommy Norris, Drew Hammerle and Courtney Norris; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 10, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3815 S. Cedar, Lansing with the Rev. John Byers, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be held Friday following the Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the church on Friday 1 hour prior to the service.
