Ane Marie was born in December of 1939 to Donna Donatien and Gracieuse Aurelus. She spent most of her youthful years in her hometown of Lascahobas, Haiti. She was the youngest of four siblings and the last living kin of Donna and Gracieuse.
She later went on to marry her beloved husband, Octanus Montas, in December of 1959. A devoted Woman of God, proud wife, and outstanding mother of ten children at the time, Ane Marie worked diligently as both a merchant and a farmer.
In her later years, she began her journey to the United States, where she and Octanus not only visited their children but also lovingly cared for their grandchildren. Ane Marie led her home by faith and ensured that her household remained centered in the presence of the Lord. Her devotion was evident through her faithful service in the Women’s Ministry at LINAZ.
Our dear Ane Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Octanus Montas; her nine children and their families: Claudette Thermora, Jean Alix Montas, Emmanuel Montas, Michelle Mirville, Karnes Montas, Onide Durandisse, Myrtha Montas, Maranatha Thomas, and Ronald Montas.

To say the least, Ane Marie was as brave as she was selfless, always placing the needs of others before her own. Not only a wife, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was truly a GIFT, and she will be missed more deeply than words can express.
