Angela Marie Droste

Angela, lovingly known as Angie, was born on July 28, 1967, to Paul and Bernadette Droste. She was raised in Lansing, Michigan, a place she proudly called home. Angie devoted 37 years of faithful service to Michigan State University’s Registrar’s Office, where she was known not only for her dedication and professionalism, but for her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for students and colleagues alike.

Angie will be remembered for her outgoing personality, deep faith, generous heart, and contagious laugh that could light up any room. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, shaping the compassion and grace she extended to everyone she met.

Above all else, Angie cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her beloved children, Nicole (Erik) Ragan, Jared (Hannah) Penner, and Anna Sevenski. She was a joyful grandmother to her precious grandson, Henry, who brought her immense pride and happiness. She also lives on in the hearts of her mother, Bernadette Droste and her siblings, Brian (Paula) Droste and Christopher (Marisol) Smith. Angie also shared a special bond with her cats, Perry and Hudson, who were constant companions and a source of comfort.

She found great joy in spending time with her nieces and nephews—Bailee, JP, Becket, Brady, and Ava—and treasured the close-knit relationships she shared with her many friends, cousins and family members. Some of her fondest memories were made during weekends in Traverse City, spent on the lake with loved ones, where laughter, conversation, and togetherness filled the days.

Angie was preceded in death by her father, Paul Droste.

A gathering at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am and luncheon will be held on January 9 at St. Therese Of Lisueix Catholic Church in Lansing. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Angie’s life by sharing memories and stories that reflect the love she gave so freely.
