

Arthur “Bill” Phillips, Jr., 91, of Lansing, Michigan passed away November 28, 2015. He was born April 7, 1924 to Arthur William and Anne MacLauchlan (MacKenzie) Phillips in Manitoba, Canada. Bill was a proud WWII Veteran and member of VFW Post 701, played hockey as a youth, and was an avid Tigers fan, and his favorite team was the Redwings. Bill had dual citizenship; he grew up in Canada and moved to the US during WWII. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Lipsett. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife Marguerite Phillips; two sons, Sam (Nancy Marie) Phillips, and Vince (Nancy Jo) Phillips; seven grandchildren, Ron, Ross, Rich, Matthew and Michelle Phillips, Jason Conklin and Sarah Rottiers; ten great grandchildren, Noah, Maddison, Jason, Anthony, Alexa, Joshua, Gavin, Kayleigh, McKenzie, and Tabitha; one great-great granddaughter, Lillianna. Services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, December 4, 2015, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave., Lansing MI, 48912. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
