Audrey was many things: a daughter, sister, mother, cousin, auntie, a friend. She was a gifted musician, a passionate artist, a proud army Vet, and a fierce protector of those she loved. Audrey served her country as a parachute rigger, at Fort Bragg, NC.
A role that reflected her courage, precision, and fearless spirit.
She embraced her Native heritage with great pride.
To know Audrey was to be a part of her chosen family. Her circle of love had no boundaries.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Pride, her father Jonathan (wife Michelle Rinehart), and her three biggest gifts to the world, Paisley, Elan and Taylor.
Her siblings Brittany (Jason), Vanessa, Julia, Isaiah (Emma), Kisewaa, Waasmowin (Lexi), and Sabu.
Her nieces and nephews who will miss her dance parties, Spring, Lennox, Indigo, Ember, Willow, and Niimkii, Waawaatesi-kwe and Mitanask-kwe will be watched over by her guardian spirit.
Audrey's life will be honored with a graveside service Thursday, September 25th at 2pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, MI.
Immediately following, the "afterlife party" will be hosted at 3317 Felt St., Lansing, MI.
A gallery of Audrey's art work will be on display. Some will be up for silent auction. Proceeds going towards a headstone and her children.
Audrey Pride was a warrior in every sense. She fought battles seen and unseen. Lifting others out of love even when she was down. She smiled, she laughed, she danced.
Her legacy lives on through her art, children, and the love we all have for her. Though her flesh is no longer, the energy within her will be with us when we need her.
