

Barbara Lynn French, 68, a native of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on November 21, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. Barbara was born to Robert Earl and M. Lorraine French on February 10, 1947. She graduated from Sexton High School and attended Lansing Community College. Barbara was employed as a secretary by the State of Michigan and also at her father's company, Robert's Corporation. Known for her giving spirit and sense of humor, Barbara was a true animal lover, rescuing animals over the years and providing loving homes for them. Most recently, Barbara was a dedicated volunteer at the Beekman Therapeutic Riding Center, where she was able to combine working with horses and children with special needs. Barbara is survived by four cousins, Linda Benson Porter, Carole Benson Dennings, Mark E. Foress, Karen C. Foress and a multitude of friends, not only in Michigan but in various outlying states. She will be missed by many people. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Don Robert French. Many thanks to the friends and family who sent cards, letters, and flowers to Barbara as well as called and visited her. A very special thank you to the staff of the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan who administered to Barbara during her final months of life.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Tiffany Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in Barbara's name might consider Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 121 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI. 48915 or the Beekman Therapeutic Riding Center, 2901 Wabash Rd., Lansing, MI. 48910. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Beekman Therapeutic Riding Center to celebrate Barbara's life.
