Barry Rolland Shadduck

Barry was a dedicated State of Michigan employee, waiting to retire well into his 70's. But what set Barry apart was his dedication to his family. Barry was married to Ceresta Shadduck for 50 years before her passing away in September of 2020. While Ceresta was an exuberant presence, Barry often was quiet and observant, watching his loved ones and being there for them. At family events you could often see him off to the side of the room, relaxing, listening to music, and simply enjoying the company of those around him. His love and dedication to his family was evident in his caring nature. Whether it was taking care of his wife in her final months, taking the grandkids for sleepovers every Saturday night, or attending countless events for his son and eventually grandchildren. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and uncle. He will be greatly missed.

Barry is survived by his son, Joseph A. (Theresa) Shadduck; 2 grandchildren, Sean Shadduck and Kathlynn Shadduck; sister in law Carol Ann (Harris) Weaver; 2 brother in laws, Tom (JoAnn) Cornelius and Chris Cornelius; and his nieces and nephews Russell, Raphael, Sondra, Tom, Ryan, KC, Chris, Casey, and many other family members and friends. Barry was preceded in death by his wife Ceresta Shadduck.

The celebration of Barry’s life will be private.
