Bernice H. Schneeberger

Charlotte, MI

Born May 5, 1912 in Lansing, the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Hansen, died April 4, 2012 at the age of 99. Bernice graduated from Central High School in 1930. She married Leon Schneeberger in 1934 and they were married for 57 years before he preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Hebert in 1989. She had suffered from dementia the last four years of her life. She is survived by her three children, Gary Schneeberger of Vernon Hills, IL, Kay (Eldon) Bursley of Charlotte, MI and Wm. (Diana) Schneeberger of Northbrook, IL; grandchildren, Steve (Jenelle) Bursley, Kathy (Andrew) Brown, Ryan (Simone) Schneeberger, April Johnson, and Roy (Maysa) Schneeberger; four great grandchildren, Katlyn, Jamie and Alyssa Bursley and Emmalee Brown. Bernice was an Avon representative for 18 years in Lansing before retiring in 1977. She bowled for several years in Lansing and loved to watch MSU sports and Tiger baseball. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Okemos.
