

She was a graduate of Ashley High School in 1941; a graduate of the Hurley School of Nursing in Flint, Michigan, in 1944.
She was the Director of Nursing Service at Lansing General Hospital in Lansing, Michigan in the 60s. Her most outstanding professional accomplishments were being the founder of the Michigan Society of Central Service Personnel and Founder of the Mid Michigan Central Service Association. She contributed to the advancement of the Central Service education as an instructor of the Central Service Technication at Lansing Community College for 10 years as well as an author of several published articles of the Central Service field. She was a national chairperson of compiling a Central Service Technician Workbook through the American Society of Central Service Personnel.
She was a resident of Florida for 28 years.
Her survivors are her children, grandchildren, and many dear family and friends. Betty regrets leaving such a wonderful family who she loved dearly.
Arrangements under the direction of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing, MI. In accordance with her wishes, services will be private.
