Carlos Ortiz, age 60, passed away on December 29, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born in Lansing on November 22, 1960 to Manuel and Francisca (Gomez) Ortiz and was a longtime manufacturing sequencer at Alliance Interiors.
Carlos lived for deer hunting season and loved the time he spent hunting with family and friends. Carlos had a lifetime of fond memories of the time he spent with his dear friends Kevin Cornelius, Brad Toaz, and Rick Charland. He also liked trips to the casinos.
Outgoing and fun, Carlos was always there for his family – especially his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Ortiz.
He will be lovingly remembered by his father, Manuel Ortiz; his siblings, Joe Manuel (Marta) Ortiz, Maria (Antemio) Loredo, Oralia (Ricardo) Sanchez, Olga (Tomas) Davaloz, Juanita (Pedro) Cabrera, Marina (Cletis) Richardson, Yolanda Ortiz, Migel Ortiz, and Elicia Ortiz.
Interment will follow a private family Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lansing.
