Carol Patricia Turner

Carol passed away on Friday, December 24, 2011 at the age of 77. She was born December 23, 1934 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Harold and Lori Krause. She was preceded in death by her brothers William and Joel Krause and sister-in-laws Kay and Sherry Krause. Carol graduated from Michigan State University and worked for the Federal government. She had a love of reading, games, puzzles and a sassy sense of humor that she passed on to her children and grandchildren that she dearly loved. She loved to travel and see new places. She lived in California for a time and traveled all over the world. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and spending time with her dog Lamb Chop. She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Peter) Johnson, Michele (David) Binkley, Renee Turner, Mark (Libby) Turner and Jeff (Juliet) Turner; Grandchildren, Steven, Brian, Turner, Dylan, Ross, Tessa, Taivean, Zevion, Shamiya, Alexandria, Nathaniel, Patrick, Kayla, Dalton, Sierra, and Colton; special friend Frank Marxer, brother Michael Krause, and many nieces and nephews. The memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Dr., East Lansing. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 Michigan Avenue, Lansing on Wednesday from 3:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Fabry Disease Foundation (NFDF), 4301 Connecticut Ave. N.W., Suite 404, Washington, DC 20008-2369, (www.thenfdf.org) or to the charity of one’s choice.
