Carolyn Jean Nash

Carolyn was born May 1, 1948 in Martin Tennessee to the late Otis and Gladys Campbell. She is survived by her beloved fiancée Ken Schrader, daughter Gina Golden, grandsons Joshua and Jacob Golden, brothers Samuel (Nancy) Campbell, Don (Christine) Campbell, and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Margaret (Dave) Lyons.

Carolyn retired in 2011 from Michigan State University, where she worked as a secretary in the Administration Building.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Carolyn and she was known to be kind to everyone. Carolyn enjoyed her cats and the wild animals at Ken's farm. Her hobbies included gardening, crafting, reading, and collecting teddy bears.

Carolyn's favorite meal was a simple cheeseburger and a Bud Light. She had fond memories of vacationing in Costa Rica with Ken, exploring Mexico with Jacob and Josh, and cruising in the Caribbean. In addition to family, Carolyn left behind many friends from the VFW and Eagles.

Per Carolyn’s request, there will be no service held.
