Age 61, our loving mother and grandmother passed away unexpectedly October 20, 2006. Born December 25, 1944 in Battle Creek, MI. Catherine?s family was the most important thing in her life, and she loved to cook for them. She was an avid M.S.U. fan. She enjoyed gardening, walking, and music, especially playing piano and organ music. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor, where she loved helping people.

Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer (Robyn) Holmes ; 3 sons, Brian Holmes, Gregory (Charlotte) Homes, and Steven (Sherry) Holmes; 8 grandchildren; parents Buford & Bernadine Grimes; sister Jeanine Dotson; brother Bruce Grimes; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday at church with a

Remembrance Service 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the University Reformed Church, 4930 S. Hagadorn Rd, East Lansing with Pastor Kevin DeYoung officiating. Donations in memory of Catherine may be made to : Community Mental Health-AMHS (Adult Mental Health Services).
