So sorry to hear of Cheryl's passing.
She was a caring mother and friend.

I just wanted to send a note wishing you peace and serenity during this difficult time.  Your mom was a great woman who exhibited grace and strength in all aspects of her life.  She will be greatly missed.

I will be forever thankful for Cheryl's friendship throughout the years.  We met way back in the 70's at Charlotte Free Methodist.  We ministered to each other and as partners to minister to others.  She is one of the most influential women in my life encouraging me to seek a deeper relationship with Christ.  Life took us to different cities and different churches but when we saw each other, it was as if time never passed.  After a long time of not seeing her, I was gifted with the opportunity to come in and be a supporter the last few weeks of her life.  I will cherish this time, we were able to talk about those years that we grew and learned to trust Him more.  The last I saw her she told me she would be waiting for me (in heaven).  One day my friend…we will walk the streets of gold together and sing praises to our Lord.

To Cheryl's family - I was so saddened to learn of Cheryl's passing.  I am a school classmate of her's....we were very close friends at Sunfield Elementary & then I moved to Lake Odessa.  When Lakewood High School was formed we became friendly again - but I only recently reconnected with her on Face Book in the last year or so.  I have fond memories of her when we were little girls & I knew then she would grow up to be someone special.  I will keep you all in my thoughts & prayers in the coming days & weeks ahead.

We will always remember Cheryl as such a kind hearted woman. She was always so supportive of Lori and I in our years of ministry at Central Free. Heaven has welcomed home an awewsome saint! Rachel, you and your family are in our prayers. Love in Christ, Bart and Lori Leu

I was saddened to learn this week of Cheryl's passing.  I did not find out in time to be able to attend the service.  I always enjoyed working with her on many of the children's and adult musicals at Central FM.  I appreciated her willingness and her faithfulness in ministry.  She threw herself wholeheartedly into whatever ministry she was involved.  I know she will be sorely missed by her family.  I also know she is now receiving her reward for her faithful years of service to her Lord.  Remembering you in my prayers.

Forgive me for not adding my name to the prior email. I wanted to add one more story for you here. When I was 13 my Dad died and Cheryl and Connie were there for a lost 13 year old girl. Their love and kindness got me through a horrible experience and was never forgotten. Cheryl was my friend and big sister in so many ways during those early years. We connected and passed in and out of each others lives over the years. She is part of my history, I regret that it wasn't an ongoing one.

I am so sorry to hear of Cheryl's passing. I knew her 50 years ago from the Sunfield Methodist Church when she took a young girl and became her big sister at a really awkward time in that little girls life. That little girl was me. I still have the letters she sent me while in nursing school. I thought there would be time to catch up but there wasn't. She touched my life and helped me become the person I am today. I am grateful that she touched my life and believed in me and allowed me to believe in her. She will be missed.

Dear Rachel and Family. I am a longtime classmate of Cheryl's.  It's so hard to grasp with her passing.  We went to Kindergarten together with oh so many memories all the way up to freshmen at Albion college.  Cheryl left Albion for nursing school after that with intermittent encounters,lunches and a parking lot spotting behind where she worked at the Sparrow Professional Building and Athletic club. I was sadden to hear of her passing.  She was such a fighter, overcoming all she faced with such faith and valor.  My prayers are with you all.

To Cheryl's family:  I just read of Cheryl's transition.  As the initial sorrow passes, I wanted to leave a message sharing a lighter side.  The last time I remember speaking with Cheryl was at WMU when the Lakewood choir went there to perform in 1966.  After a break, I saw Cheryl lying on her stomach on a bleacher.  I commented that laying on your stomach caused you to be flat-chested.  She laughed and said "so that's how it happened."  May all your memories by happy as time goes by.

Cheryl, was a GREAT lady. I will miss talking to her at Church. For we had ALOT of things in common.  She did So much for me.  I have know her for 20 years.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.  Cheryl was a friend and colleague for many years at MSU. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer and passed earlier this year, Cheryl let me know she was there for and praying for me, even with her own struggle.  Her faith kept her strong, and through it she also helped many others.  I will miss her, but know she is where she longed to be- with Jesus and the Father, at peace at last.
