Clara M. (Presson) Maxwell

Age 93; passed away November 12, 2010, born July 25, 1917 to Luther and Katie Gordon. Clara retired in 1984 after 25 years of service with Consumers Power. She attended Inter City Bible Church for many years. Clara was preceded in death by her first husband, James N. Presson in 1953; her second husband, Harland G. Maxwell in 2005; great-granddaughter Kelsey Lynne Bauman in 2007; sister, Mildred Wilcox and brother, Herman Brooks Gordon. She is survived by her daughter, Janelda (Gordon) Fish of DeWitt; step children, Myrna (John A.) Johnson and Jerry (Janie) Maxell both of MO; grandchildren, Nanette (Mark) Bauman of DeWitt, Eric (Chelsea) Fish of Elkin, NC; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Noah Bauman of DeWitt, Alden Fish of Elkins, NC and several step grand and great-grandchildren; brother, Jerome (Tess) Gordon of Eustace, TX; sisters, Trevah Morgan and Thelma (Harold) Dunckle, both of Lansing. Clara’s family would like to express their gratitude to Clare Bridge of Delta and In House Hospice for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 16, at Noon, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Rev. Tad Jameson, Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Chapel, Monday, November 15, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
