Clare Mitchell Archer, 63, died November 24, 2014 in Lansing, MI. He was born February, 27, 1951 to Roy and Ilah (Miller) Archer in Lansing, MI. Clare was a graduate of Everett High School in 1969. He retired from GM after being employed for 32 years. Clare was a devoted father and grandfather; he loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed life especially with his dog, Bella. Clare was an avid MSU basketball fan, and enjoyed classic cars and auto racing. He was a loving and caring person who put the interest of others ahead of his own. Clare will be greatly missed by family and friends. Clare was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Ilah and his sister Beverly Wright. He is survived by two daughters Jeanette (Robert) Marten Sr., and Katie (Levi) Allen; three sons Chad (Chisty) Archer, Adam Archer, and Ryan Archer; eight grandchildren; one sister Charlene Allen; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the funeral home. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
