Passed away May 17th at the age of 71 at Sparrow Hospice in Lansing. Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife Violet Gamez-Hill of Lansing, children; Hadji Hill, Patrina Hill, Tara Hill, Starr Hill (George), all of Rochester, NY, Denise Mandoka of Fulton, MI, step daughter; Brianna Black of Lansing, stepson; Timothy Gamez-Richardson of Lansing, sister; Beryl Tate of Battle Creek, uncle; Joe McCrackin of Albion, special family; The Coats of Lansing and Ohio, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and dearest friends. Family and friends will gather at Friendship Baptist Church, 2912 Pleasant Grove, Lansing for services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 23, 2011 with the Rev. Robert E. Nicholson officiating with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment will be at Deepdale Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Sparrow Hospice.
