David Robert LaBrosse II

David was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was raised in Ionia and later relocated to Lansing where he worked in construction. He was a "jack of all trades" and would find creative solutions to make anything work.

David was known for his compassion and willingness to lend a helping hand. He went out of his way to support his family, friends and strangers alike. A beloved son and life partner, his kindness and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his; parents: David (JoEllen) Robert LaBrosse and Octavia (Michael Mourer) Mina Zurhorst; aunt: Rebecca (Joseph) Melchert; uncles: Carl Zurhorst, Brian (Nancy Kruithof) Cohoon and Stephen (Barb) Forest; cousins: Jennifer Cohoon, Benjamin Cohoon, Elizabeth Diaz Ramos, Holly Hessenkemper, Ashley May, Amanda Forest, David (Kriszelda) Choiniere, Christine (Ray) Erickson, Jessica Melchert, Shane Zurhorst and Trisha (Roy) Millwood; stepdaughter: Sierra Sharland; and stepsiblings: Joshua Mourer and Jessica Nellis. David is preceded in death by his life partner: Lisa Sharland; aunt: Pat Zurhorst; and cousins: Nathan Cohoon and Andrew Forest.
