Age 79, died April 7, 2012; born May 18, 1932 in Onondaga, Michigan. Mr. Cooke retired in 1997 from Bay Petroleum. He served with the US Navy from 1951-1955 and graduated from Eastern High School in 1950. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Jerry and Vernon Jr. and sister, Arlene Kenger. Surviving are his wife, Darlene “Dot”; 2 sisters, Judy (Bill) Merrihew of OR and Donna Brunton of East Lansing; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 14, 4:00 PM at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing with the Rev. G. Travis Downs, Pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Saturday 1 Hour prior to the service.
