Dennis McNamara

of Lansing, MichiganAge 67, our loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle passed away February 11, 2009 after a long battle with emphysema. Dennis was born October 16, 1941 in Lansing, MI. Dennis worked at Lansing Concrete Pipe with his father, before going to work at Lansing Fisher-Body, where he retired with over 27 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 602. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking, but most of all he loved NASCAR.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. McNamara. Surviving are his 3 children, Bruce A. (Kari) McNamara, Rebecca S. Morey, and Barbara A. McNamara; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Ruth J. McNamara; 3 sisters, Jackie Ruiz, Vicki (Jay) Nylander, and Patty (Jim) Melton; 3 brothers, Dave (Rose), Kevin (Christy), and Donnie McNamara; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 15, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Memorial Funeral Liturgy will 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 17, at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan, Lansing, with Fr. William Koenigsknecht presiding. Rite of committal St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
