Dian L. Alberts

Dian L. Alberts, beloved, hard-working, kind-hearted, and devoted, passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 24, 1945, in Lansing, Michigan, to Wayne H. and Rose L. Chaffee, Dian was a lifelong resident of Lansing.

A 1964 graduate of Everett High School in Lansing, MI, Dian dedicated her career to the Lansing School District, where she worked at Attwood and Pleasant View Schools as a Lunch Assistant.

Dian was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jimmie L. Alberts. She was the beloved mother of Karen Alberts and Chuck (Tracy) Alberts. She was a dear grandma to Christopher, Andrew, Allyson, Mackenzie, and Brooke, and a great-grandma to Elliott, Oliver, and Damon.

In her personal life, Dian was a member of the Alpha Iota Sorority, reflecting her commitment to community and fellowship.

Dian L. Alberts will be remembered fondly by her family and all who knew her.

The visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, between the hours of 6 - 8 PM at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11 AM at the funeral home. The family will gather at the funeral home beginning at 10 AM to greet visitors.

Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1800 E. Mt. Hope Ave., Lansing, MI 48910.
