

Our loving mother Dolores M. Lindstrom passed away on June 1, 2024, in Lansing, MI., due to natural causes. Born on July 4, 1932, in Iron River, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Gregory and Stella Argentati. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Lindstrom; brother, Elio Argentati, brother and sisters-in-law Bruce (Franzi) Lindstrom, Jay (Renee) Lindstrom and Sandy (Dick) Tegge.
She is survived by her sons, Greg (Amy) of Beulah, Michigan, Mark (Tammy) of Charlotte, Michigan, and John (Tessa) of Leslie, Michigan; brother-in-law, Tom (Mee) Lindstrom; sister-in-law, Nelda Argentati, and many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted grandmother to grandsons, Ben (Selina), Eric (Caitlin), Will (Jasmine), Michael, Nick, Andrew, Matthew (Dani), Joseph, Johnny (Anna), and Danny, and a cherished great-grandmother to Quinn, Connor, Kaleb, Harvey, and Faye.
On August 7, 1954, Dolores married Lawrence Lindstrom at St. Agnes Church in Iron River, Michigan, and they spent 50 beautiful years together. Dolores was a graduate of Iron River High School in 1950 and obtained a Bachelor of Science from Mount Mary College in 1954. She pursued a career in education, working as an elementary school teacher in Lansing, Michigan, Stambaugh, Michigan. and substitute teaching in Waverly Schools before settling into her greatest roles as a mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Dolores was a dedicated member of the community, as a founding member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Lansing and volunteering at St. Lawrence Hospital. She was also a member of St. David's Altar Guard. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with grandkids and family, and entertaining friends for dinner parties and card game nights. She also loved working in her flower garden. She was a great cook taking after her Italian mother Stella, sharing her delicious creations with her loved ones. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating treasured memories with each of them.
Known for her warm and welcoming nature, Dolores was a social butterfly with a wide circle of friends, including special friends Marilyn Ellena, Terry Tormen, Becky Ely and Bettie Riggs. Her home was always open to those she cared about, and she made everyone feel comfortable and loved in her presence.
The family is thankful for the loving care Bonnie Grass, Michelle Smith, and Kelly Wilson provided to Dolores in her final days. Additional thanks to the compassionate team at Stoneleigh Hospice of Lansing.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. The funeral service to honor and celebrate Dolores’ life will be held on July 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. David's Episcopal Church in Lansing, Michigan, with luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Alzheimer's Association in Dolores' memory.
