Age 93, born March 19, 1917, in Holt to Frank and Edith Peltier; passed away on December 25, 2010. Duane was an Army veteran and had retired from Dimond Reo after 31 years of service. He and Lorna, his wife of 70 years, traveled with Spotlight Tours for many years. He loved playing bingo, cards and going to the casinos. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #671, DeWitt. Duane will be missed by all who loved him and knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna; daughter, Janet Peltier; brothers, Sylvester and A. B. Peltier; and son-in-law, John Dombroski. Surviving are his daughters, Carla Dombroski of Lansing and Dee Peltier of Dimondale; son, David Peltier of Warren; 9 grandchildren, Mary, John, Sue, Ann, Sandy, Nancy, David Jr., Tracy and Mark; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, at 11 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to Joe and Barbara Frazier and the staff at Fairview AFC, where Duane received kind and compassionate care for the past 6 months and also to the folks at Heartland Hospice for their great care and comfort.
