Emil K. Kletke

Emil was a resident of Lansing all his life, graduating from Eastern High school. He served in the Navy during WWII and played football for the Navy. Emil worked for Lansing Board of Water and Light for 42.9 years when he retired 8/8/1988. He was an avid sports fan and owned the Lansing All Stars. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, and camping. Emil was active with Old Newsboys, Old Timers Baseball, and “Special Santa”.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Betty; children, Kathy Riel, Emil (Julie) Kletke Jr,, Todd (Kristine) Kletke; grandchildren, Somer (Matt) Lietaert, Stevi Riel, Eric Riel, Kelsey Kletke, Kole Kletke; great-grandchildren, Macy Hendrickson, Madison Lietaert, Gabe Lietaert, Dema Rose Riel; and brother, Bob (Doris) Kletke and many nieces and nephews.

There will be funeral service for Emil 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Emil to Hospice of Lansing, Stoneleigh.
