Esther A. Guile

Lansing, Michigan

Esther A. Guile was born on January 29, 1924 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late John W. and Augusta (Grenka) Mehling, and passed away on October 12, 2013 at the age of 89. She enjoyed gardening, loved her dog Lily and was known for her wonderful baking. Esther was a very generous lady who was always willing to give to those in need. She retired from the National Guard after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Sharon Guile and Barbara Pickott; son, Randall Guile; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her brother, John (Carol) Mehling. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 549 E. Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910. The family will receive friends from 10:00~11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. For those desiring, contributions may be made in memory of Esther to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
