The inimitable Eve Davidson passed away April 23 in Lansing after a short illness. Eve was born to Evelyn (Winder) and Christopher Davidson, raised in Eaton Rapids, MI, and educated at Stephens College and Michigan State University. Early exposure to travel and theater kindled a lifelong passion for both. An award-winning Lansing area actress, Eve appeared in more than 40 productions -- usually in lead roles. She loved spending summers at her beloved cottage on Mullet Lake near Topinabee. She filled the other seasons with acting and, after retiring from teaching English at Eastern High School, with frequent travel all over Europe. Eve was witty and fun, suffered no fools, loved dogs, dollar stores, Cadillacs, novels, dry cocktails, excursions to Broadway and the Stratford Festival, and standing Saturday lunch with friends from the theater community, which mourns her deeply. Donations can be made in memory of Eve Davidson to the Riverwalk Theatre. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
