

Floyd was an Army veteran serving in WWII, he received a purple heart on November 23, 1944 for being wounded in combat. He retired in 1977 from Fisher Body after 30 years of service.
Floyd was an outdoors person, loved fishing, and gardening and in his younger years hunting, he also loved to bowl. He loved baseball but was an avid criticizer of both the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He was a great family man, and loved his family deeply. He was active in his Church, St. Therese Catholic Church and served as an usher for many years.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Surviving are his loving wife of 71 years, Mildred Puckett; sons, Dale (Michele) Puckett, Mark (Irene) Puckett; grandchildren, Cory Jackson Kyle Puckett, Adam Puckett, Alex Puckett, Vincent Montalvo, Jessica Montalvo; great-grandchildren, Danny, Carter, and Carl.
There will be a Funeral Mass for Floyd 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W Randolph St, Lansing, MI 48906. Visitation will be from 6-8p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing Michigan.
