Frank Rosas Alvera, Jr.

Age 68, our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on July 12, 2018. Born May 24, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan. Frank served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He had worked in several positions during his career. Frank enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing. He loved being up-north.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years Delia A. Alvera; 3 children Angelica “Angie” (Jason Pearson) Alvera, Antonio “Tony” (Brandy) Alvera, and Adrian (Lynnsilee Evans) Alvera; 7 grandchildren, Kelsey Alvera, Alejandro “Alex’ Alvera, Zarin Douzniewski, Dominic Alvera, Jaydon Pearson, Eden Alvera, and Isiah Pearson; mother, Benigna “Bennie” Alvera; sister, Esther Alvera; 4 brothers, Art (Joanna) Alvera, Vincent (Sue) Alvera, Rudy (Patsy) Alvera, and Ernie (Aletha) Alvera; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation is from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, with services 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48917 with Pastor Sue Alvera officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Morley S. Oates V.F.W. Post #701. Contributions in memory of Frank may be made to any veteran organization of one’s choice.
