A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Garold was known for his generous spirit and lifelong passion for the arts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Riggs; his daughter, Sarah A. Riggs, and her children, Myah Riggs-Wright and Paige Ross-Riggs; and his son, Andrew Riggs, along with Andrew’s wife, Sarah E. Riggs, and Andrew’s son, Henrik Riggs. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Thomas Riggs, his identical twin Gerald Riggs, and Philip Riggs, as well as Valerie’s siblings, Michael Stanley and Wendy Stanley.
Garold was preceded in death by his grandson, Donal Riggs.
A memorial service for Garold will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at The Lansing Seventh Day Adventist Church, 5400 W St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917.
