Age 81, died on Friday, September 19, 2014 in Lansing, Michigan. She was born on August 28, 1933 in Mason, Michigan to Frank and Helene (Grossman) Willett. She loved planting flowers, cooking, animals especially humming birds. She loved going to garage sales, antiques sales, flea markets and taking long rides in the car but most of all she loved all her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Theresa Ann Stevens.
Gertrude is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Robert Leroy Hopkins, sons, Donald (Phyllis) Stevens, Gary (Deborah) Stevens, Jeffrey (Arlene) Stevens, numerous grand and great grandchildren, brothers, Duane (Mary) Willett, John Willett, Herman Willett, sisters, Geraldine Hildelbrandt, Doris Moore, and Pat (Gary) Slusser.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Tiffany Funeral Home 3232 W. Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48917. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and one hour before service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McLaren Hospice.
