Ilse A. Bauknecht

Ilse A. Bauknecht Age 86 of Lansing, MI. passed away peacefully August 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. Ilse was born March 10th, 1931 in Saginaw, MI. to Henry and Frieda Rohde their only child. She graduated from Arthur Hill High in Saginaw in 1949 and the next year married the love of her life Jack C. Bauknecht, they just celebrated their 67th year of marriage on July 29th. She leaves to cherish her memory her Husband Jack C. Bauknecht of Lansing, MI. and her children Brian (Denise Aber) Bauknecht of Ludington, MI. Jaclyn Sewell, of Lansing, MI and Beth (Cary) Redstone of Sydney, Australia. Her 7 grandchildren Carly (Amos) Woods, Alison (Tim) Schutter, Lindsey (Derek) Pung, Jacob (Lyndsay) Sewell, Madeline & Lilly Redstone, Matt (Nell) Aber-Towns, Meredith Aber-Towns, Arianna Aber-Towns. Seven great grandchildren Abel Woods, Ella & Uriah Schutter, Alayna, Ryleigh & Jaxson Sewell, Lincoln Pung with two more on the way this fall. Ilse dearly loved and enjoyed her family and keeping all the family history. Her joys were her family along with reading, sewing and knitting. She was also very active in the Mid-Michigan Genealogical Society. She leaves behind two sister-in-laws Yvonne Beeg and Patricia Bauknecht of Saginaw and a brother-in-law Marvin (Nancy) Bauknecht of California, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday August 18th at 11am with visitation at 10am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 549 E. Mt. Hope Ave. Lansing, MI. a luncheon will be held at the church following the service. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers, to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Mid-Michigan Genealogical Society.
