The sun rose on Inez "Nini" Denine Webster on April 27, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Flint, Michigan at the age of four. Later she moved to Lansing, Michigan to be near her sister, Diane Gardin.
God blessed Inez "NiNi" Webster with a bright and shining soul. She loved to play Bingo and many other games. Inez also loved to crochet beautiful things. She enjoyed preparing her favorite dishes for holiday gatherings. Her love of cooking led her to work as a cook at Burcham Hills until she became disabled. The residents loved her cooking and dearly missed her when she was absent.
Inez was a Child of God. Her love of Jesus Christ led her to become a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She loved attending church and was a faithful member when her health permitted.
Inez was a Sister. Her disability kept her from doing many things that she loved to do; however, she did love spending time with family and friends. Just this last weekend, she and her two sisters, Diane and Debra, spent time in Flint fellowshipping together and having fun.
Inez was a Mother which was a role she adored most. She took this role seriously. She was a loving, kind, and generous mother who gave what she had. She was loved dearly by her son, Ryan, and her daughter, Genell, because they were the love of her life. She would sacrifice her own wants and desires while making sure her children always had what they needed.
Inez was a Grandmother. She cherished her granddaughter. Before her death, she proudly brought granddaughter, Tamya, to church with her.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Webster and Inez Carr; step father, James Carr; grandparents, Robert and Deborah Jenkins; and aunt, Marlene Lee.
Inez's sun set on Sunday August 8, 2010. She leaves to cherish her memory two children: Ryan Webster and Genell (Joey) Dorty both of Lansing; one granddaughter: Tamya Dorty of Lansing; two sisters: Deborah (Michael) Humphery of Flint and Diane Webster-Gardin of Lansing,; one niece, Janene Gardin of Lansing; three nephews: James Gardin of Lansing and Michael Jr. and Elijah Humphery of Flint; a host of cousins and friends including special friends Laverne Fox, Ruth Fox, and Robin Burke of Lansing and Belinda Palmer of Flint.
Arrangements under the direction of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing, MI.
