Age 37, our loving companion, daughter, mother, and sister passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2015. She was born on December 27, 1977 in Allentown, PA. Irene grew up in Benton Harbor and then moved to Lansing. God blessed her with a beautiful voice and she loved to sing. Her favorite pastime was going to family gatherings and cooking family meals. She would light up a room with her presence and personality. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Irene leave to cherish her memory her companion of 10 years, Mark S. Farrell; mother, Rosa Lee Brown; 4 children, Robert C. Monroe, Laquasha L. Washington, Danielle D. Monroe, and Dawone J. Monroe; and a grandchild on the way; 2 sisters, her twin , Iris B. McKay, and Carale L. Hamilton; 4 brothers, Eldorado C. Brown, Frankie L. Willis, Steven D. DePriest, and Steve D. DePriest; and a host of family members and friends.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Sunday, May 3, with funeral services 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 4 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor James Robinson officiating.
