Irene Barbara McNutt

Born on June 3, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie Pati, passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 99. She had been employed with the State of Michigan as a secretary in the Construction Codes Division, Michigan Department of Labor, retiring in 1988. She also had the honor and privilege of serving as the Secretary to the Board Chairman of the Selective Service Draft Board during WWII and the Korean War. Irene was a member of Chapter 267, Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the State Employer Retirement Association. She had a deep love for her three grandchildren and cooking. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth, her beloved parents, her sister Eleanor and her brother Edward. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren - Rebecca, Melissa, and Justin - and a son, Brian. She also leaves behind several adored nieces and nephews and close friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Holt United Methodist Church with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
