Jack F. Palmer

Jack Palmer, age 87, passed away on August 9, 2017 while receiving care at the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, Michigan. Jack was born in Carson City, Michigan, and as a young man he met Geraldine "Gerry" McGuirk, his wife of 62 years. Geraldine preceded Jack in death on August 3, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease and his eldest son Thomas Palmer who succumbed to cancer in 2001. He is survived by her 7 children and spouses, Irene (Jeff) Page, Mark (Lisa) Palmer, Mike (Pam) Palmer, Joan (Dave) Hummel, Brenda (Mark) Emmert, Linda (Tom) Willard, and son David Palmer. He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack always enjoyed playing euchre and always loved having family and friends around. Jack had a quick wit and always had a good "one-liner" for anyone he talked to. In retirement, Jack and Gerry moved to Coldwater Lake in Weidman, Michigan and lived there for nearly 30 years making more friends and card partners.
