Jacob "Jac" A. Bajema

Jac is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edith; his children; Alan (Mary) Bajema, Jackie (Peter) Holtrop; grandchildren, Sarah, Samantha, and David; and the mother of his children, Sharon Bajema.

Jac was Dutch of the Friesland Province. He attended Calvin College where he received his bachelors degree and then moved on to Michigan State University and U of M where he earned two masters degrees. Out of college, he was a high school English and literature teacher. He continued teaching as a professor of business communications, then computer applications, at Grand Rapids Community College. Jac married Edith Smith Bajema in 2011 and moved to Gregory, MI. He had 8 acre hobby farm that he was very proud of. Jac enjoyed working and tinkering in the barn while Edith cooked the meals. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch MSU and Nebraska as well was the Detroit Pistons. He always played basketball recreationally, and taught his son how to sail and play tennis.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 8th Fowlerville Senior Center, 203 N Collins St, Fowlerville, MI 48836. Memorial contributions may be made in Jac’s memory to the Fowlerville Senior Center. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.grlansing.com
