Jaime Cardenas Sr., was born August 2, 1972 in Brownsville, TX and passed away November 6, 2021. He leaves behind five sons, Felipe, Jaime Jr, Joshua, Jonathan, and Gabriel; grandchild, Jaime Cardenas III; parents, Luis Cardenas Sr and Candelaria Cardenas; brothers, Luis Cardenas Jr and Joel Cardenas; sisters, Santos Leven and Esmerelda Gelista; nephews, Anthony, Joseph, Matthew and Nicholas; nieces, Alexis, Jasmine, and Aloria.
Jaime grew up in Lansing and graduated from Eastern High School. He worked in many trades growing up as an auto mechanic, landscaper, masonry, heavy equipment operator, and many more. Jaime always put everyone else's needs before his own, making sure everyone he knew was taken care of and was quick to make sure he offered his hand for anyone in need. He always loved holidays, especially 4th of July, as it was a time for everyone to get together and have fun.
Jaime had the biggest smile, was full of laughter and full of love. His loyalty ran so deep, if you came around he made sure you both had your own personal relationship. Jaime had a lot of friends and everyone respected him. Everyone knew the kind of heart Jaime had, which made everyone love him that much more. You could feel his love for you and he always chose the right words, and he always came when you needed him. He was always so energetic, full of life, and stood out anywhere he went. He leaves behind so many who love him. May he rest in peace with his beautiful sister, Silvia Russell. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Delta Hillside Cemetery.
