Jane Pizzo

Age 67, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away September 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born January 26, 1944 in Lansing, MI. Jane retired in 2002 from the State of Michigan after 17 years of service. She was a member of St. Gerard Church. Jane loved spending time with her family and friends. She had an infectious personality, and could always be seen visiting with people everywhere she went.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years, David A. Pizzo; her 4 children, Amy Shellito, Elizabeth Pizzo, Mary Pizzo, and Max Pizzo and his fiancé, Bethany Rusch; 3 grandchildren, Megan, Barbie, and Saige; brother, David (Ronda) Whiting; 5 sisters, Mary (Richard) Hess, Barbara (Karam) Bassila, Nora Whiting, Anne (David) Young, and Sara (Brian) Carter; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max ?Red? and Virginia ?Ginger? Whiting; sisters, Dina Whiting and Nina Surline; son-in-law, Louis Shellito, II.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 20, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4427 W. Willow, Lansing, MI, with Fr. Pieter van Rooyen presiding. Rite of Committal St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
