Jason Douglas Swain

Jason Douglas Swain, 64, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on November 1, 2025, at home. He was born on August 4, 1961. Jason was a cherished member of his family and community, and his presence will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna (Prentice) Swain and Delain Swain, and his sister, Ginger Knapp. Jason is survived by his siblings: Delain Swain, Alice Ward, Jo Ann Stimpson, Martina Kimble, and Joshua Swain, as well as his stepmother, Geri (Thompson) Swain and stepsiblings Russell Wardell, Julie (Wardell) Poufcas, and Jacklynn (Wardell) Putnam.

The children in his life who affectionately called him Papa include Andrea Lorigan, Jonathan (Alexandra) Hayes, Alexander Meredith, Sean Lorigan, Margaret (Jerry) Lorigan, Sean Lorigan II, and Ryan Hayes. Jason's special friends, Teresa Hayes and Robert Shattuck, along with his close friends Brian Musser, Carolyn Watters, Benjamin Herritt, John Gnagi, Patrick Gnagi, Kristy Bollis, Shawn (Primo), Michael Schmidt, and Michael Hayes, will hold his memory dear.

Jason is greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever. The family extends their gratitude to Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes for their kindness and compassion. At this time, there are no services planned, but the family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
