Jeff is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathleen Tingley of Long Beach, CA; Children, Johnny, Kelly (Alderetti) and William Tingley and family; great nephews, great nieces and great-great twins boy and girl and many, many cousins; hundreds and possibly thousands of friends and acquaintances; Jeff's close friends Chris and Kim Merrill, Ron Maki and sister, Barb Maki whom helped Jeff selflessly throughout his last days.
Jeff had a long career as a machinist in California and became a son of Michigan in 1995, where he joined the Dart family in Mason for 27 years.
Jeff's passion for running began after high school and soon became serious as he loved to travel and meet people as well as running races all over the world and in every state. He ran 305 marathons, ultra marathons, 100 milers, Iron Man and at least 1000 shorter races.
His love of music knew no bounds a he quite possibly attended more concerts and music festivals than races. Jeff's humor also knew no bounds as he was always joking and entertaining. Jeff was a humble, kind soul that always encouraged anyone if he saw them struggling.
The world has truly lost a kind humble soul. We shall keep his memory alive as long as we live.
