Jessica Marie Ormsbee

Jessica graduated from Waverly High School in 2011. Following high school, she completed her certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant from Dorcey Medical School. She worked for Sparrow Hospital and then went on to work for the CIMA group. Jessica grew up in Lansing and later moved to Mason with the love of her life, JT. She loved spending time with her 3 children, Abigail, Jameson and Owen. They are her everything. She loved being outside with her kids, riding on the quads and the gator. She loved helping her mom with her jewelry and really enjoyed helping her mom set up the store. Jessica was a caring and loving person to everyone. She would help anyone that needed help. She had a very special bond with her dad. Her children and fiancé were her life and she always had a smile on her face.

Jessica was the cherished daughter of Kim and Darryl Smith of Lansing, MI; loving mother of Abigail Hills, Jameson Herrin and Owen Herrin of Mason, MI; dear sister of James Ormsbee of Lansing, MI; beloved fiancé of Justin (JT) Herrin of Mason, MI; granddaughter of JoAnn Washburn of Mancelona, Shirley McConnel of Lansing, MI and the late Dennis Washburn, Kenneth Ormsbee, David Smith and Eileen Smith; great granddaughter of the late Arlo and Lucille Ormsbee, Joseph Drinkwine and Velva Rolfe; future daughter-in-law of Tom and Jackie Herrin of Lansing, MI; future in-law of Preston, Tony, Leona, Rueben and Jania; fond aunt of James Ormsbee Jr., Cameron Ormsbee and Kingston Jenkins; niece of the late Ralph McConnell; and niece, cousin and special friend to many.

A visitation for Jessica will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W. Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48917. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Tiffany Chapel. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are James, James Jr. , Cameron, Jason, Tom, Tony, Preston and Kristin.
